      • Driving to the goal of zero waste streams in a cost effective method
    • Operational excellence in areas such as:
      • Proactive, predictive maintenance
      • Understand Manufacturing process
      • Involved in plant-wide decision making
      • Understand and manage costs
      • Assist other departments in operational activities
    • Demonstrated competence in managing environmental operations and their role in producing quality product including:
      • Baghouse operation and performance
      • Baghouse fan operation and maintenance
      • Operation and maintenance of water pumps, cooling towers and filtration systems
      • Water treatment chemistry
      • Equipment reliability and maintenance

Job Requirements

  • 100% Ownership of Environmental Operations, including but not limited to:

    • Waste management
    • All compliance and conformance (EMS) activities
    • Vendor decisions
    • Staffing decisions (in consultation with GM)
  • Add value (not just cost center)


  • 10 years’ total experience in environmental management
  • Demonstrates mastery of a majority of the following:
    • Air Permitting (PSD, Title V, Minor Source, New Source Review, Emissions inventory development)
    • Successful permit negotiations
    • Water permitting (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Storm water, Army Corp permitting, Potable/sanitary discharges)
    • Environmental Law
    • Waste regulations (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), DOT)
    • Chemical and Community Right-to-know Statutes (Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA))
    • Stack emissions testing and continuous emission monitoring
    • ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems
