We are searching for a highly motivated Quality Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:


  • Developing the necessary knowledge and skillset to support the melt shop, metallography and roll mill labs
  • Covering for the melt shop and roll mill lab, including: vacation, call-offs, meetings, training events and emergency coverage as needed
  •  Coordinating and assisting MS and RM production teammates with the gathering of quality samples
  • Aiding in the inspection of material purchased from other facilities as well as help train production teammates to recognize quality issues
  • Utilizing effective communication with all departments and a willingness to learn


With this position you will start in a Quality Technician position learning the duties and responsibilities of this

job but will be expected to bid on open lab positions as they become available and you are qualified.

Job Requirements

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 months’ previous experience with quality inspection
  • High school diploma or equivalent


Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-year experience in steelmaking/heavy industrial environment
  • 6 months’ experience with optical emission spectroscopy equipment
  • 6 months’ experience performing mechanical testing
